How to Disable Popup Blockers

Four Methods: Microsoft Internet Explorer; Google Chrome; Mozilla Firefox; Apple Safari

Method 1 of 4: Microsoft Internet Explorer

1Open Internet Explorer and click on the Tools button.

2Click on "Internet options".

3Click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker to disable the functionality.

4If you want to choose which websites to allow and still keep the blocker functionality, click "Pop-up Blocker Settings" instead. Write down a list of websites you don't want Internet Explorer to automatically block.

Method 2 of 4: Google Chrome

1Access the Google Chrome menu on the toolbar. The menu on the toolbar is at the top right of your browser.

2Choose "Settings."

3Find "Show advanced settings" at the bottom of the page and click it.

4Under "Privacy," click on "Content settings."

5In the "Pop-ups" section, choose "Allow all sites to show pop-ups."

6If you want to choose which websites to allow and still keep the blocker functionality, under the Pop-ups section, choose "Manage exceptions" instead. Write down a list of websites you don't want Chrome to automatically block.

Method 3 of 4: Mozilla Firefox

1Open the Firefox menu after opening the browser.

2Select "Preferences."

3Navigate to the Content tab.

4On the first option, uncheck the "Block pop-up windows" box. This will disable the popup blocker function.

5If you want to choose which websites to allow and still keep the blocker functionality, to the right, choose "exceptions" instead. Write down a list of websites you don't want Firefox to automatically block.

Method 4 of 4: Apple Safari

1Open a Safari browser and click on the Safari drop-down menu

2From the dropdown menu, select "Preferences."

3Once in Preferences, go to the Security tab.

4Uncheck the option "Block pop-up windows" to disable the functionality.

5You cannot manage exceptions in Safari. You either block all websites from displaying popups or none at all.
